Insert: Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion

Insert compatible with Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion. The design allows for both efficient storage and improved gameplay. Many of the trays can be used during the game and make set-up and put-away much easier. The boards and rulebooks serve as lids on the trays.

The trays are arranged in up to four layers. All trays are printed in full colour and two different foam colours are used for the different sheets. A new tray for character cards replaces the folding boxes supplied with the game, shown here on the right-hand side of the box.

The insert contains trays for storing and organising all the game components. There is space to wrap all the cards in high-quality sleeves. Each monster type has its own slot and all compartments contain colour symbols on the print to show what belongs where. The largest compartment in the insert is the character card compartment. It contains colour-coded areas for each of the four characters with separate slots for the ability and modifier decks. The insert also contains additional card dividers to split the character decks into available and unavailable cards. These again use full-colour designs from the game's artwork. Each tray contains images from the rulebook or game cards and boards.

The images greatly enhance the look of the trays, but also help tidy up the game as you can immediately see what belongs where. When packing the box, first place the character mats and sheets on the large flat monster stat card tray. Next, place the town map board on top to cover all the compartments. The two ringbound scenario books are placed with the ring binders on opposite sides of the box and with the dials and element board in between, as shown. Finally, add the rulebooks and the sticker sheet. This will fill the box completely and the game can be stored vertically.
