Bast is an ancient panther goddess worshipped by the nation of Wakanda. According to legend, it was Bast herself who led the great warrior Bashenga to the place where a meteorite brought vibranium to earth. Bast blessed Bashenga's descendants and gave them the strength and wisdom they needed to become the rulers of Wakanda. The power of Bast flows in every black panther, who in turn leads and protects his people.
The terrain set Icons of Bast for Marvel: Crisis Protocol contains beautiful terrain miniatures from the nation of Wakanda to complement the miniatures game.
Large panther statues are placed throughout the cities of Wakanda. These icons are created by the finest artisans in the land, and many have a special history or commemorate individual heroes or past rulers. In an effort to honour both Bast and Wakanda's royal lineage, the largest statues have vibranium carved into the stone. This makes the sculptures almost immune to the ravages of time. Woe betide the intruders who bring violence to the sacred places where Bast looks through the eyes of her panthers.
