The floor model is a replica of the Messerschmitt BF-109 G-6 aircraft. The BF-109 G represents the logical evolution of the earlier F version of the famous German fighter plane that dominated the skies in the early stages of World War II. The aircraft was equipped with a more powerful engine to increase speed and altitude. Some aircraft were also equipped with increased firepower to engage large Allied bombers. By the end of 1943, the BF-109 G was the backbone of the Luftwaffe and was used in all theatres where it succeeded in rallying the Allied air force until the end of the conflict.
