COBI-5746 - 361 PCS HC WWII /5746/ BELL P-39D AIRACOBRA WHITE
BELL® P-39D AIRACOBRA® is an American single-engine fighter aircraft from the Second World War era, metal construction with classic tail in low-wing configuration with tricycle landing gear. This aircraft was produced in the years 1940-1944. The advantage of the aircraft was a high top speed and good performance at low altitudes. These characteristics were successfully utilised by the American and Soviet air forces and made the Airacobra an attack aircraft designed to fight German tanks and other ground targets. At low altitude, the Airacobra outperformed the German Bf 109 and Fw 190 aircraft, which were used extensively!
BELL® P-39D AIRACOBRA® was designed with 361 COBI building blocks in 1:32 scale. The block model features many movable elements such as a rotating propeller, movable wing ailerons, wheels with rubber tyres that can be folded into a horizontal position. Details and historical American olive colour painting have been reproduced. The cockpit can be opened to accommodate the historical pilot figure! The whole set looks great thanks to a special presentation stand with a sign with the name of the aircraft and a place to attach the figure! The model uses durable imprints and historical markings. The set completes the collection of World War II aircraft in 1:32 scale and is aimed at lovers of history, military technology and enthusiasts of block models of the highest quality!
