Product Description
The Mercedes SLC is a luxury coupé produced by the Stuttgart-based company between 1971 and the early 1980s. It was developed on the basis of the roadster and was characterised by its harmonious and elegant lines. The 450 SLC was equipped with a V8 engine with a displacement of 4520 cm3 and an output of 225 hp. The good performance was combined with the refined interior, made with "premium" materials in line with the position that the SLC was to have on the market. Starting from the project for series production, where good commercial success was achieved, special versions for rally competitions were also produced with roll bars, stronger rims and lighter bodywork to optimise the weight/power ratio and guarantee the best performance. On a sporting level, good results were achieved, such as victory in the 1978 Mintex Rally.
