Product Description
Launched in 1988, the Volvo F16 achieved considerable commercial success, largely thanks to its innovative "powertrain" range, which provided high levels of driving performance, low fuel consumption and low operating and maintenance costs. The exceptional characteristics of its 6-cylinder engine were complemented by the innovative "Globetrotter" cabin, which provided exceptional on-board comfort. The sturdy frame served as a development platform for the creation of numerous specially equipped variants to meet a wide range of customer requirements. One configuration that was particularly appreciated and used by long- and medium-haul logistics operators was the tarpaulin rear deck. This feature was characterised by a good size/space ratio and was further enhanced by the rear hydraulic platform, which facilitated easy loading and unloading of goods.
