COBI-2281 - FAMO HALF TRUCK, model, 498 parts, from 10 years old

Sd.Kfz. 9/1 "FAMO" is the largest of the family of German half-track vehicles from the World War II era. It was designed as a heavy artillery tractor, but its use under wartime conditions presented other tasks. The vehicle was mainly used in repair units and served to recover armoured vehicles.

With the development of armoured weapons, heavier and heavier tanks were pulled by two or even three vehicles of this type. The tractor was powered by the Maybach HL 108 engine. The same engines were used in the first versions of the Pz. Kpfw. III and IV. The tractor version 9/1 was equipped with a 6-ton crane (Bildstein).

Sd.Kfz. 9/1 "Famo" was developed in 1:35 scale to match the figures and consists of 498 elements. The functions of the model include: working chain traction, rotating wheels, seats for figures, a rotating crane with movable arm, raised supports, a hook from which we can hang a building block engine.

All graphic elements are high quality prints. The illustration shows a German mechanic with a pair of pliers in his hand. The set comes with a plate on which the name of the set is printed. This set should not be missing in our 1:35 scale collection! Vehicles from the technical background do not often appear in the Historical Collection from COBI.
