Aventuria, continent of emperors, caliphs and queens. Far from official diplomacy, secret societies and conspiratorial cults vie for power and influence with the potentates of this world. Adventurers are recruited in dim taverns in order to secure an advantage in the game of intrigue. It is important to bribe the right people and to court the favor of the great minds of Aventuria. Who will be able to achieve victory with their network of adventurers?
In the shadows of power, the players fight for influence and power on the Aventurian continent for their factions. In the underground they hire adventurers and buy ships for fast crossings in order to secure their influence in the individual regions. Anyone who has infiltrated a region can use its resources: practical equipment for further adventurers, ship requirements for a proud fleet, new footwear for adventure trips and gold to infiltrate important organizations. Those who skillfully expand their influence on churches, magical circles and large aristocratic houses secure a good starting position to support their adventurers in the fight against competitors and monsters and to impress the most radiant heroes of the age. And last but not least, every secret society pursues its own agenda of intrigues in the shadow of power.
