The shrill ringing of a big city scene is made all too well aware of every reader with the historical novel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Alfred Döblin. As the epitome of expressive language, the book is a major work of modernism, which at the beginning of the 20th century was equally critical of the dystopia of a mechanical world.e.

Based on this metropolitan world, the brand manufacturer UGEARS has created a mechanical city which, as a 3D model, is able to depict the locomotion system of a tram line in an artistic way. Rather, the shrill openwork construction is a collector’s item, which has to be assembled from a total of 154 individual parts. Subjected to cyberpunk style in a post-modern mechanical world, every component is reproduced in the form of steampunk or retrofuturism, which makes every gear drive tangible. Models – like that of the tram – which with one Rubber band motor are driven present the technology from a completely different perspective. In addition to the learning effect, handicrafts are brought to the fore and visible in every component. The tram from UGEARS is thus visible acoustics on four wheels.
