The floor model is a replica of the Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-3. The development of the FW190 series began in autumn 1937 within the framework of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium, which was to be a supplement for the BF109 Messerschmitt.
The engine used was the BMW 801 radial engine. The A-3 version used the improved 801 Dg engine which produced 1700 hp, also six guns were used for this variant instead of 4 previously. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with a high degree of accuracy of fit and detail.
