The floor model is a replica of the self-propelled howitzer “Wespe”. The Wasp was originally designed as an emergency solution with a production run of 676 units. However, this howitzer exceeded German expectations and was consequently used many times as support for the infantry. While the 5-person crew was not overwhelmingly protected, the vehicle certainly posed a threat to Allied forces.
