Hirelings can be added to Root games at any player count. With fewer players, the hirelings add new characters to the map, increasing excitement and adding more tactical possibilities. With more players, some Minions cards are flipped over to reveal new special abilities that can be used to develop unique and powerful strategies.

A base game of Root is required to play.
