Waste paper is more than rubbish: With the handicraft set from the Green Creativity series by 4M children can make colorful, patterned beads out of waste paper. The compact bead workshop not only combines fun and creativity, but also promotes the environmental awareness of the little jewelry designers in a playful way. Strips of old newspapers, colorful magazine pages or scraps of wrapping paper are used to create unique pearls. Threaded on a rubber band, you can conjure up original pearl necklaces and bracelets in no time at all. Even decorative objects such as a curtain made of paper beads or a colorful mosaic can be tinkered in no time. This is how quickly waste paper turns into a great pearl creation! Whether sky blue, mint green, pink, checkered or funny dots when designing the jewelry, children can let their imagination run wild. Choose your favorite pattern, cut it out and off you go! First the thin paper strip is threaded between the two metal rods. By turning the crank, the paper is gradually wrapped around the rods until there are about two inches of paper left. Now apply some glue to the end of the paper with the swab, wrap the strip to the end and you have a wonderful pearl! The self-made pearl creations are a great gift for parents, relatives and friends.
