Citroen 2CV has become an icon of the French automotive industry. It was produced from 1949 to 1990 and continuously improved. The car was designed before the war. Its creation was linked to the need to produce a simple and cheap car for the masses, true to the motto of company boss Pierre Boulanger, "quatre roues sous un parapluie" (four wheels under an umbrella). The car was perfectly simplified, economical and made it possible to comfortably transport four people with luggage. Christened the ugliest car in the world at the 1948 Paris Motor Show, it became an object of desire, contrary to the opinion of critics. During its 41 years of production, almost 4 million units were manufactured in factories all over the world. Today, this car has cult status and is a treat for collectors. 1980 saw the premiere of a special version of the iconic Citroen 2CV! Limited Charleston was produced in only 8,000 units!
