We play shopping

The children's game "We play shopping" poses questions such as: How much are the pears at Olli's fruit stand? Or is there enough money for tomatoes? Whoever shops skilfully will be the first home with a full bag. In this educational game, children practise the basics of a purchase transaction and exchange goods for money, comparing prices beforehand. In doing so, they learn to act in a planned manner and take an important step towards independence. The children familiarise themselves with the goods on the play market and explain why they would buy individual items of food. Storytelling promotes the children's language development.

As soon as the shopping lists have been distributed, it's time to roll the dice and buy the cheapest goods for the list at the appropriate stall and put the money in the slot. The children attentively observe and take into account the price changes during the course of the game.
