Slide

In Slide, you try to slide your cards into your display in such a way that you score as few points as possible. But keep an eye on your competitors, because to win the game, you should always be one step ahead of them!

At the start of the game, everyone receives sixteen cards, which you arrange in front of you in a face-down 4x4 grid. The cards have values from 1 to 10, with each number being included ten times.

Each round, you take a random face-down card from your grid and place them all face up in the centre at the same time. Whoever has the slide marker takes one of the face-up cards and slides it from the side into their grid to close the gap that was created when the card was removed. The others then follow in a clockwise direction.

After each round, pass the slide marker in a clockwise direction and start the next round. After 16 rounds, you will all have a fully uncovered 4x4 grid in front of you. Each number in a grid that is adjacent to an identical number is removed and the sum of the values of the remaining cards is the score. The lowest score wins.
