The design of the Golden Snitchâ„¢ is based on the descriptions and depictions of it in the popular Harry Potter novels and films. This spring-operated DIY model has a thread at the top that can be used to wind up an internal drum, which in turn causes the elegant feathered wooden wings to flutter as soon as the thread is released. Hold the snake and watch as it tries to escape by flapping its wings. Or hold it by the ring with the model facing down and be surprised as the Schnatzâ„¢ flies up to reach your hand! When you're not using the Schnatz, you can place it on its stylish stand on the table or on a shelf. You can also hang the model from a hook using the eyelet (ring) on the string so that your Schnatzâ„¢ floats in the air. The model has a silent ratchet mechanism and the tension of the spring is controlled by a pendulum to regulate the action of the wings. The stand and body of the Schnatz are made of 3 mm thick high-quality plywood, while the plywood of the two filigree wings is 1.5 mm thick. The kit includes a spare wing.
