Guiding adventures in 1880 can be a tricky business: What was the currency in Sweden in 1885? And who exactly is in power there? Is there a direct train connection from Munich to Budapest? And what's the quickest way to get from one end of the British Empire to the other by ship? These questions are addressed in some of these miscellanies, i.e. this colourful compilation of material. Two large-format maps (format 698 x 558 mm) show the extent of the Empire with the worldwide shipping connections and the status of the European railway network in 1882. There is also a screen for the game master with four double-sided pages in landscape format (280 x 206 mm per page). The side facing the game master contains the information required to run an 1880 round, while the front side provides the players with all kinds of useful information: price lists, currencies, ruler names and titles.

But that's not all: the miscellany also contains the 64-page volume Doctor Nagelius' Wohlfeile Handreichungen zur Erschaffung von Kuriositäten, Faktoten und Heroen. This provides additional rules that will be useful when creating adventurers, but also when designing non-player characters. In addition to two completely new (and somewhat unusual ...) adventurer types - the servant and the native - the volume introduces the concept of "alternative adventurer types": A total of 15 examples are used to show how the range of existing adventurers can be widely varied by slightly modifying existing character types without introducing additional rules. For advanced players, there are also tips on creating completely customised types and new skills. Ultimately, a comprehensive concept of merits and flaws means that adventurer personalities can be more deeply customised - with a direct impact on the role-playing game!
