For decades, Rome, the Eternal City, was firmly in the grip of Shaitan's demon army. Until a brave young man invaded the city with some daring companions and overthrew Shaitan from his unholy throne. A good 50 years later, Rome has recovered. The houses have been rebuilt and the streets are full of life. The young freedom fighter has become Pope Lucius IV, now an old man. But the ominous legacy of the demons has never completely disappeared.
The city is repeatedly haunted by eerie phenomena: The Tiber turns red, clouds of dust rush through the alleyways like avalanches, the earth spits out demonic monsters.
