The stone game
BAO belongs to the family of Mancala games, which are not only played with enthusiasm by children and adults in Africa. It is often known simply as the bean game or stone game.
BAO is a two-player game that is interesting for young and old. Each player moves on their half of the board and tries to empty the entire inner row of their partner.
BAO playfully teaches children to count, promotes logical thinking and trains fine motor skills. It is always amazing how quickly even pre-school children develop tactics to get as many of the beautiful pieces as possible from their play partner.
Our high-quality game board is made from local beech and treated only with natural resin oil. Internal hinges and magnetic catches guarantee a very long service life. The extra deep recesses also promise fun, as the game pieces can be easily counted and picked up.
Game pieces are semi-precious stones. Different types or a colourful mixture are available. We almost always have sodalite, blue quartz, aventurine, tiger's eye and red tiger's eye in stock. You are welcome to let us know your wishes when ordering.
