Product Description
The Opel Blitz project was launched with the aim of producing a robust and reliable commercial vehicle on a large scale that could be used for various applications and purposes. In the early 1930s, Opel began producing the first lorries with a typical American "layout" at its plant in Rüsselsheim. Thus began the story of a great success that continued until the mid-1970s. Due to its structural characteristics, the Opel Blitz was also used by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War, both in the 4x2 and 4x4 versions. However, its popularity was further enhanced by its great commercial success in the civilian sector. Even in the post-war period, the Opel Blitz was indispensable in supporting German tradesmen, craftsmen and industrialists in their reconstruction activities.
