Court betrayal

At the behest of Her Majesty the Queen, the majordomo of the royal household invites you to the royal annual banquet. You send members of the various families to the Queen's table, always taking care to disgrace those families that could benefit your rivals. Beware of the spies and asassins, they can turn everything upside down!

The rules are incredibly simple and ensure fast gameplay and a high level of interaction: in each turn, you play your 3 cards from your hand: 1 card to your own display, 1 card to a competitor's display and 1 card to the queen's table. The cards on the board decide whether a family falls out of favour or receives the Queen's favour. Disgraced families earn you 1 minus point per card of that colour in your own display, while families in the Queen's favour earn you 1 point per card of that colour. The secret missions ensure unpredictability, while the special abilities of individual cards provide tactical depth. Despite this, a game only lasts 20 minutes, but be sure that there will be an immediate demand for a rematch!
