DESCRIPTION
Mon Dieu, quelle horreur! Now the inhabitants of ORLÉANS have been hit hard; the plague has come upon them, bringing suffering and misery to the population. There are many deaths to mourn, and even the clergy have little to offer. Only the plague doctor can bring relief and hope to the long-suffering inhabitants, but ultimately everyone is on their own and must try to protect their followers as best they can....
Right from the start, the conditions are exacerbated by the "plague cards". Sometimes there are fewer monks in play, sometimes no cogwheels may be placed on location cards or the construction of offices must be paid for with an additional coin.
New events are now also associated with the "corpse tiles", of which players must place a certain number in their bag at the end of each round. These are then randomly drawn from the bag at the start of the round and take up valuable space on the marketplace, as they cannot be used for any action. To get rid of them for good, a player can fulfil indulgence cards by making pilgrimages, donations or other conditions, which also score victory points at the end of the game. Fortunately, each player has a "plague doctor", a new character that is available in (almost) every round and can be used universally.
The expansion for up to 5 players requires the base game ORLÉANS.
ORLÉANS DIE PEST is the 3rd major expansion to the base game and is published in German. Approx. 55 cards, a new "Blessed Works" tableau, new events and the new "Plague Doctor" character provide a completely new gaming experience
