DSA5: Armoury of the Suncoast - booklet with plastic cover (DE edition)
From the cloud-crowned High Eternals to the ever-moist swamps of Harodia, from the dusty, remote hinterland of Chababia to the pastures of the Cyclopean Isles hemmed in by rocky bluffs - the Suncoast is perhaps the most geographically, culturally and commercially diverse region of the entire Aventurian west coast.
Although part of the Revived Empire of Horas, the Wild South and the Cyclopean Isles have retained their very own cultural identity. Ancient warrior traditions are held in honour here! In addition to the Chababian law enforcers who hunt down criminals with crossbow and waqqif, clad in a practical brigantina, the pupils of the High School of Equestrianism at Neetha practise in their riding armour on the longaxe and in fighting high on horseback. No less impressive are the fighters of the Cyclopean Islands in their splendid bonze armour and noble naval armour, who display their finesse with pailos and parazonium or their skills with the long-handled sarissa. But sinister forces also prevail on the Sun Coast. Whoever gets hold of a sacrificial dagger can never be quite sure whether it is really only animal blood ...
The Armoury of the Suncoast presents weapons, armour and other equipment typical of the southern Horas Empire. The volume includes a survey of the powerful carmal talismans kept in the region and introduces some of the dangerous magical artefacts kept in the hoard of the Emperor Dragon Shafir the Magnificent. An entire chapter is devoted to the famous forging skills of the Cyclopes, the children of the god Ingerimm, for every Aventurian adventurer dreams of once holding one of the legendary Cyclopean weapons in his hands.
This volume supplements the regional game aid The Suncoast with extensive and generally applicable rules for the special items of the region. Knowledge of the rulebook and the Aventurian Almanac is assumed.
