Long live the 16th century! What a wonderful time to be a merchant in a bustling harbour town! Take the lead of one of the four merchant families, feel the wind in your sails and set course for victory. Observe the actions of your fellow players and try to predict the demand for individual goods. Wood, spices or porcelain? What sells best overseas? What will fetch you the best price and where will you lose out due to the actions of your fellow players?
The players are dealt cards with ships and goods. Their task is to load the corresponding goods onto their ships and sell them at the time of greatest demand, which they can influence by discarding the corresponding cards in the trading phase. Buy, sell, speculate and expand your fleet to become as rich as possible and leave the competition far behind.
