The Alpine A110 Berlinette was first presented in Paris in 1962. From 1963, the Alpine A110 was successfully used in motorsport. For the first time, the A110 drove in French racing events such as the Monte Carlo Rally or the Tour de France for automobiles. After Jean-Claude Andruet won the French Rally Championship in 1968, the Alpine took part in the World Rally Championships for the first time in 1973. In the very first year, the drivers achieved 6 overall victories. The A110 was even converted into a Group 5 car for circuits and was also able to achieve class victories here.
