COBI-2593 - 1194 PCS HC WWII /2593/ FLAKPAZER IV WHIRLWIND EXECUTIVE EDITION

Wirbelwind was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun used during the Second World War. It was based on the Panzer IV tank chassis and was armed with a four-barrelled 2 cm Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun that could fire at high speed at air targets, providing anti-aircraft support to ground units. It was one of a larger family of anti-aircraft defence vehicles used by the German armed forces in various combat operations. Production began under difficult wartime conditions in 1944. The exact number of units produced is not known.

The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind EXECUTIVE EDITION model consists of 1,195 building blocks and was designed in 1:28 scale. In contrast to the release of the standard Panzer IV tank, we have made many design changes to this set. The armoured turret has been replaced by a shielded quad anti-aircraft gun. We have also added plant camouflage, which looks fantastic in combination with the late war armour painting! The armoured chassis has also changed slightly. The cannon can be rotated 360 degrees and can also be moved up/down. After removing the turret, you can take a look inside the vehicle. There is an engine to be built under the service hatch, which is also suitable for display next to the model. The set includes a detailed figure of a Luftwaffe anti-aircraft soldier. The whole thing is complemented by a black plate with the name and scale of the set.
