The age of hot rodding began in the late 40s and early 50s with young soldiers returning from the war. They wanted excitement and sought it in fast cars. There were lots of old Fords, and they were cheap. At first they were flatheads, but then came the small block Chevy and hot rods were on the rise. Today, hot rods are no longer cheap. Instead, they are the work of skilled craftsmen, but they still have that original hot rod spirit. As with this modern '32 Ford, skilled makers create works of art.
