Insert: Frosthaven
Note: Insert for a game with external dimensions of 46.1 x 31.0 x 29.1 cm.
Official, full-colour insert, compatible with Frosthaven®.
The design allows for both efficient storage and an enhanced gaming experience. The inserts can be used during the game and make set up and put away much easier.
The inserts are arranged as shown below. The rules and scenario books are stored vertically at one end of the box, next to the stacked figure and miniature insert boxes that players are not currently using. We recommend using FS-FROST together with our optional FS-FHMAP card tile organiser. If you are using all four player inserts, there is not enough space in the box to store the card tiles in the game box, so these can be stored in the FS-FHMAP folder and sorted by type. Alternatively, you can remove the four player trays (where you store your tokens in the insert boxes) and replace them with the game board pieces so that you can store the entire game in the base game box without having to lift the lid. All card compartments offer space for cards with sleeves. The insert comes with four optional player trays that can be used when the game's game board pieces are stored elsewhere. Each tray has space for cards with sleeves, slots for tokens and a recess at the top for the player board and game sheet. This compartment at the top of the box has space for the largest monsters, but also has room for up to four of the miniature insert boxes. If four boxes are added, there is only room for one of the larger ones. The card dividers that come with the game are slightly too large for the miniature card compartments of the FS-FROST insert. We have therefore included eight new card dividers in the same size as the trays with each copy of the insert. When packing the game, make sure that the rules and scenario books are stacked vertically at one end of the box. Then place the remaining A4 sheets on the trays. Add the remaining four player trays, clock faces, the puzzle book and the element board as shown. Finally, place the five scenario flowcharts on top.
As mentioned above, when the player trays are removed, FS-FROST leaves enough space in the box for the card tiles. To do this, first place the last four character trays next to the rule/scenario books. Then add the card tiles:
a. Smaller types (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 13) on top of the map board.
b. Then the medium tiles (8 and 10) with the side pins in the recess in the terrain overlay tray.
c. Finally, place the large types (6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16) on top, along with the dials and other pieces.
The scenario flowcharts then cover everything that fills the box.
