Insert: Journeys in Middle-Earth: Spreading War

Note: The insert is designed for the base game box with external dimensions of 29.7 x 29.7 x 13.4 cm.

The insert is compatible with Journeys in Middle Earth® and is designed to add two compartments to our other FS-JME insert to make room for the Spreading War® expansion. The design allows for both efficient storage and an enhanced gaming experience. The trays can be used during the game and make it much easier to set up and put away.

The insert consists of two new trays that take the place of the card stacks in the FS-JME layout. One FS-JME+ tray provides space for the siege engines and Mûmakil miniatures as well as many of the new cards. As always, there is room to sleeve all the cards. The other tray is for some of the remaining miniatures from the expansion

While the FS-JME+ trays contain most of the components from the Spreading War® expansion, some elements must also be added to FS-JME trays:

A Hero mini is added to Tray 8a or 8b

Fortified, Difficult Terrain, Moat/Fence and Chest/Barricade tokens are added to Trays 6a and 7a

The Orc Taskmaster, Wight and Shadowman minis are now stored together in Tray 3a

The three new Warg Riders are added to Tray 3b FS-JME Tray 2 now contains the Balrog, the Warg and all the Spider minis together

When packing the box, place the bottom FS-JME tray layer in the box as before, but add the second FS-JME+ tray of minis as shown. Again, each layer is separated by the square battle map tiles as before. Add the first FS-JME+ tray to the second FS-JME layer between the two large card trays. Then add the top FS-JME layer as usual. Finally, place the rulebooks on top. When the box is fully loaded, it is filled to the top so that the game can be stored vertically. As the two FS-JME+ trays replace the spaces for the game board tiles in the FS-JME layout, these tiles must be stored outside the main game box. We recommend storing them in one of the large expansion boxes, as shown here. FS-JME+ is an unofficial third-party game accessory. This product consists of a flat pack of 2 Evacore sheets. The trays must be assembled quickly and easily using normal PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.
