Insert: Tapestry

Official, full-colour insert compatible with Tapestry, including the "Plans & Ploys", "Arts & Architecture" and "Fantasy & Futures" expansions. The design offers both efficient storage and improved gameplay. Many of the trays can be used during play, making set-up and put-away much easier. The boards and rulebooks serve as lids on the trays.

The insert is arranged in two layers, with space on one side for the civilisation and capital mats.

The building trays have two mounting options, depending on whether you have attachable building bases. The insert is made of beige foam that matches the colour designs of the game. The card trays all offer space for cards with sleeves. In this set-up variant (without the attachable bases), the buildings are all separated by type. Each player gets their own player tray, and the tray with the territory tiles can be used to randomly hand out these face-down tiles instead of using the bag from the expansion. Each tray contains images from the rulebook or from game cards and boards. The player trays have a coloured terrain motif on the outside that matches the tiles inside.

The images greatly enhance the look of the trays, but also help with tidying up the game as you can immediately see what belongs where. Once the deployment trays are packed into the box, you need to place the city and civilisation mats in a stack on top of the player trays. Next, place the main game board on top of everything. The smaller boards and the bag are added as shown. Finally, place the rulebooks and reference manuals on top of everything. Once the box is fully loaded, it is filled to the brim so that it can be stored vertically.

If you have the attachable bases for your buildings, it is best to use the second assembly variant for the building trays. The attachable bases increase the size of the buildings, so less organisation is possible with this variant. They still divide up the building types, but there are more groupings than with variant one. The landmark buildings are placed together in a single tray. The monolith and the arena are placed in a separate tray together with the cubes. FS-TAPEv2 is an official insert product produced in co-operation with Stonemaier Games. This product consists of a flat pack of 8 Evacore sheets. The trays must be assembled quickly and easily using normal PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.
