Product Description
Get on your broomsticks and prepare for an exciting round of Quidditch™ pinball with the latest addition to the Harry Potter™ collection from Ugears. This working pinball game is based on the fictional wizarding sport of Quidditch™ from the popular Harry Potter novel and film series, where players fly around a stadium high in the air trying to throw or hit the Quaffle™ through three rings on the generic side of the pitch, scoring ten points each time. The team that catches the Golden Snitch™ scores 150 points and wins the game.
To start the game, press the 'New Game' sign on the front of the model to send the Quaffle™ to the plunger. Press the ball feed button on the front right to bring the first Quaffle™ into the start position. Then pull the plunger back and release it abruptly to catapult the ball onto the playing field. Keep your hands on the flipper buttons on the right and left side of the game machine and press them to keep the ball in play for as long as possible. Shoot the three targets to clear the way to the rings, which are defended by a moving Keeper (Ron Weasley) and two Drivers (the Weasley twins - Fred and George). Each time a Quaffle™ goes through one of the rings on the far side of the pitch, you score ten points (press the button at the top right of the scoreboard to update the score) and the Quaffle™ rolls back to be sent back into play. Defend your own three rings by not letting the Quaffle™ roll through the pinball levers, otherwise the Quaffle™ is out of play. As soon as all three Quaffles™ have fallen through your own rings, the game is over.
Catching the Schnatz™ is the biggest challenge of the game and also the surest way to win. To succeed, a Quaffle™ must land on top of the ramps by shooting it up the inclined launch ramp (this launch ramp takes up its position as soon as the centre target is shot over). If the Quaffle™ lands on the right-hand ramp, it is sent back into play. If, on the other hand, it lands on the left-hand ramp, it runs down it until it sets the Snitch™ in motion, which then rolls into the waiting arms of Harry Potter™. Congratulations, you've won! Press the button at the top left of the scoreboard and a banner will appear, awarding you 150 points and announcing your victory!
