Product Description
This working mechanical table clock with pendulum is centred around the automotive theme, featuring an engine block design with moving pistons at the top and a dial in the style of a tachometer (for the hours) and a rev counter (for the minutes). When the clock is in operation, its pendulum and escapement provide a pleasant ticking sound, while the passing of the seconds is displayed on the escapement on the back of the clock.
Once wound, the engine clock displays the time for up to 5 hours (its running time can be extended by a further 60 to 90 minutes by releasing the pistons). A return mechanism on the minute hand automatically resets the hand after 60 minutes. The DIY wooden motor clock is the latest model in the collection of functional clocks from Ugears, which includes the Aero wall clock with pendulum and the Stargazer tourbillon table clock.
