The Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter is a light combat aircraft developed by the Northrop Corporation in the 1960s. The F-5A aircraft was primarily intended for attacking ground targets and, to a lesser extent, air targets. It entered service in 1964. Its main features are manoeuvrability, ease of operation and relatively low operating cost. This aircraft was used during the conflict in Vietnam, among other things.
