Welcome, travellers, to the Japanese island of Shikoku! In Tokaido Duo, two people discover the smallest of Japan's four main islands on a three-part spiritual journey. On the pilgrimage trail along the coast, they visit temples, gardens, seashores and hot springs. On the branching trade route, they collect and sell traditional souvenirs. And the artists' route takes them to different areas where they paint numerous beautiful landscapes and give their paintings to locals as gifts.

Tokaido Duo is an independent two-person game set in the world of Tokaido and Namiji. Instead of travelling along a single path, the two players move three different characters across the island of Shikoku at once. The three dice decide which character they may move and how far. Each of the dice is assigned to one of the characters. Depending on where the characters land as a result, different actions may be carried out. Each character also has a different condition for triggering the end of the game. By discovering the three different characters, the aim is to collect as many points as possible and thus make the journey a life-changing experience.
