In order to surprise your better half on Valentine's Day with the most beautiful, self-picked bouquet of roses, you have to bluff skillfully and outdo your rivals, because other lovers are just waiting to get hold of the best flowers. But even the most beautiful bouquet can be ruined if the roses are full of thorns.
On his turn, the active player selects a rose card from his hand and offers it face down to another player. The gifted player can accept the card and add it to his bouquet or reject it, then the active player must take the card himself. Then the enlarged bouquet is examined. If it contains five or more thorns, the bouquet is ruined and must be discarded. At the end of his turn the active player may score his bouquet if he has four or more flowers to get hearts. The game is won with five hearts.
