Der Abenteuer Club, puzzle game, for 2-5 players, from 8 years (DE edition)
Sometimes all it takes to experience exciting adventures is a little imagination. However, a few more or less everyday objects with which you can get out of a jam are also helpful. From these simple ingredients, the authors Mathias Spaan and Henrik Havighorst have created the cooperative association game "The Adventure Club", in which two to five people aged eight and up solve the tasks with a lot of imagination, unusual methods and a pinch of madness.
The framework for the exciting experiences is the "Book of Adventures" with twelve exciting stories, each divided into five chapters. Each of these chapters concludes with a task that must be completed immediately. How can a speeding locomotive be stopped or a lighthouse climbed? What can be used to build a flotation device or defuse a bomb?
Whoever's turn it is to solve the task must secretly choose two item cards that are best suited for the task and, in addition, three items with the worst chance of success. It is particularly tricky when this decision has to be made under time pressure, because some items only really make sense when combined. Who knows straight away how to keep away from a shark? Are lipstick and toilet paper useful or perhaps a salami and a fishing rod?
Due to the cooperative nature of the game, the others in the "Adventure Club" then decide together which two cards they think were intended to solve the task. If the result is the same, a rung on the adventure ladder can be climbed and the next chapter with a new challenge awaits. Unlike many other games, there are no predetermined solutions in "Adventure Club". Luck decides which items are available, which is why each adventure can be experienced anew again and again.
