The Citroen 2CV was continuously produced and improved between 1949-1990 and became an icon of the French car industry. The car was designed before the war. Its creation is linked to the need to produce a simple and cheap car for the masses, true to the slogan of company boss Pierre Boulanger "quatre roues sous un parapluie" (four wheels under one roof). The car was simplified to the maximum, economical and allowed the comfortable transport of 4 people with luggage. Dubbed the ugliest car in the world at the 1948 Paris Salon, it became an object of desire, contrary to the opinion of the critics. In 41 years of production, almost 4 million examples were made in factories all over the world. Today, this car has cult status and is a treat for collectors. 1980 saw the premiere of a special version of the cult Citroen 2CV! Limited Charleston was produced in only 8,000 copies! The car was distinguished by its attractive, characteristic two-tone body and interior.
