The stand model is a replica of the P-51D K Mustang Pacific. The P-51D Mustang included advanced features such as a laminar flow wing and an efficient radiator design. The P-51D came standard with a standard Hamilton propeller, but the lack of propellers led to the installation of Aeroproducts propellers on some P-51Ds built at the North American factory in Dallas. These were identified by the designation P-51K. Most P-51Ks served in combat in the Pacific, although some were also sent to Europe.
