Rally models have fascinated the RC fan community for years. The VW Golf MK2 GTI 16V is a classic of the scene and the TAMIYA kit has now been modelled true to the original.

The VW Golf won the Group A A7 class in 1986. Group A was for cars with 4 seats and over 2,500 were built each year. The Golf had a 1.78L engine with 4 cylinders and 195PS.

The TAMIYA MF-01X chassis has four-wheel drive and rally block tyres with good grip. Thanks to the independent suspension and the closed drive via a cardan shaft, this is the perfect basis for the VW Golf and ready for RC rally feeling!
