PZL.23 Karaś was one of the basic bomber aircraft of the Polish Air Force during the September 1939 campaign. It was designed by Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze (PZL) and entered service in 1936. The aircraft was a structure that could accommodate three people: a pilot, an observer and a gunner. The armament included machine guns and bombs. Although the PZL.23 Karaś was a relatively technically advanced aircraft at the time of its commissioning, it was quickly forgotten in the face of rapidly developing aviation.
The legend of the Polish sky from 1939 was precisely modelled using COBI building blocks. The detailed model has been designed in 1:32 scale to match the other aircraft in the Historical Collection. A completely new block in the form of a characteristic cockpit cover has been created for this set, offering space for up to three pilot figures. Historical markings are printed on the aircraft, which can also be found on the underside of the wings. The entire underside consists of the new light blue colour of the blocks. In addition to the PZL.23 machine guns, Karaś is equipped with a set of strap-on bombs. Pilot figures in characteristic leather suits have prints on their backs! The set also includes a very attractive building block with a printed map showing the situation in Poland in the early days of 1939. The impressive model of the Polish bomber can be set up on movable wheels or on a block display base with transparent elements. The entire set is complemented by a sign with a printed aeroplane chessboard and the name of the model. This wonderful historical backdrop not only reminds us of Polish pilots, but is also a testimony to the military technology of the time.
