The stand model is a replica of an F104G cockpit. The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most renowned fighter aircraft in aviation history and also the aircraft with the longest service life. Its history began in the late 1950s and ended with several air forces in the mid-2000s. Its unique airframe with a slim fuselage and a very low wing area made this aircraft ideal for use as an interceptor. Due to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2.2 with a world-class rate of climb. With this scale model kit, modellers can recreate the famous "Starfighter" cockpit with the typical interior layout of the fighter aircraft of the 50s and 60s, which was the "home" of many former NATO pilots. The fine detail of the dashboard, typical of this period, is complemented by the high-precision reproduction of the Martin Baker ejection seat.
