Product Description
The First Crusade took place at the end of the 11th century and culminated in the siege and conquest of Jerusalem in 1099 by Gottfried von Bouillon, leading to the birth of the Outremer Crusader States. The kit represents the variety of troops that took part in the war. The knights, heavy cavalry in chain armour and with the large almond-shaped shields typical of the time, fought alongside infantry and crossbowmen recruited from various Christian countries in Europe.
