510008701 - Model kit, 1:87 scale locomotive BR41
The floor model is a replica of the BR41 locomotive. From 1936, the BR 41 class of "standard" locomotives for fast trains was developed as part of the construction programme for the German National Railways (DRG).
During the trial period, the BR 41 was nicknamed the "Ox loco" as it was used to pull fast cattle trains. As a result, a total of 366 BR 41 locomotives were built, distributed among almost all German locomotive builders.
The BR 41 was designed as a so-called multi-purpose locomotive. In addition to its proper application - the transport of express goods trains - its maximum speed of 90 km/h allowed it to be used for fast and even express passenger trains.
