The Eurofighter aircraft is a multi-role jet fighter developed by the Eurofighter GmbH consortium consisting of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain. It entered service in 2003 and is deployed in several countries around the world.
The Eurofighter Typhoon reaches supersonic speeds and is highly manoeuvrable. This single-seat aircraft is equipped with advanced radar and electronic systems and has the ability to detect, track and attack air and ground targets using missile weapons and bombs carried on board.

The maximum speed of the Eurofighter is approx. 2,495 km/h, the operational range approx. 2,900 km. The Eurofighter Typhoon is frequently deployed for defence tasks, to monitor airspace, to engage air and ground targets and to support ground force operations. It is considered one of the most modern fighter aircraft in the world and is a key element of European air defence. Fighters from the first production series went to Austria. They were put into service in 2007 and are still in service.
