Product Description

Launched on 22 September 1975, the Tyrrell P34 caused a sensation - no wonder, considering it was the first six-wheeled Formula 1 car! Its layout featured four front wheels to reduce drag while improving the car's braking and steering. After a series of test sessions and associated updates to the design, the P34 made its debut in the hands of Patrick Depailler at the Spanish GP in May 1976. Things really took off a month later at the Swedish GP when Jody Scheckter brought the P34 home ahead of Depailler in the top two places, proving the car's potential, which was underlined by Tyrrell's 3rd place in the constructors' championship that year.
