Product Description
The Ford Escort Mk 2 was launched in 1975. The further development compared to the Escort Mk 1, which was presented at the Brussels Motor Show in 1968, could not be overlooked. The first-class mechanics were carried over from the previous version, but a completely new design exuded 70s aesthetics and style. Alongside the more purposeful models, an Escort Sport was also presented, which featured a more aggressive look and a strikingly sporty interior. Finally, the RS 1800 model with twin-shaft engine (115 hp) was also presented, which served as the basis for the special versions used for the World Rally Championships. The legendary Zakspeed team built and used a special version of the Escort Mk 2 in 1977/1978.
