300031909 - Model Kit,1:700 Brit. Destroyer E-Class WL

To protect the Empire's shipping routes, the British Navy built a large number of destroyers in the years before the Second World War. The nine ships of the so-called E-class, Exmouth, Echo, Eclipse, Electra, Encounter, Escapade, Escort, Esk and Express, were completed in 1934 and took part in many important operations during the Second World War, including the hunt for the Bismarck and the Battle of the Java Sea. The E-class was roughly the same size as its predecessors. However, the ships had enlarged superstructures and were also fitted with anti-submarine equipment and a minesweeper. The true-to-the-original TAMIYA 1:700 scale kit includes decals for all nine E-class ships.
