300061041 - Model Kit, 1:48 Dt. Focke Wulf Fw190 D-9
The floor model is a replica of the German Focke Wulf Fw190 D-9. The first variant of the Focke appeared over the English Channel in the autumn of 1941. The Fw 190B used a BMW 801 turbocharged radial engine and a pressurised cockpit, but only a small quantity of these were built. The successor version FW 190C was then powered by a 1,750 hp Daimler-Benz in-line engine. In 1944, production of the Fw190D-9 then began, which entered combat in September 1944. The fighter was replaced by the new Me262 Messerschmitt jet fighters, which entered service shortly afterwards.
