Although it retains the familiar shape of the Hercules, which has been in service around the world for decades, the C-130J consists of extensive new developments. The most visible conversion is the Rolls-Royce (Allison) AE2100D3 engines, each with 4,700 hp and six-blade composite propellers with low noise levels and reduced fuel consumption. Among the performances, it is mainly the climb rate and the range of action that have been improved by the new engines. However, another change, no less important, concerns the avionics. The cockpit is equipped with a new digital on-board instrumentation as well as a wide head-up display that constantly provides the pilot with the most important data without having to take his eyes off the outside situation. The C-130J is gradually taking over the role of a standard medium transport aircraft in many countries, including Italy.

- The self-assembly is accompanied by step-by-step or illustrated assembly instructions. The assembly instructions are of course included in the delivery.
- Based on the assembly instructions, the precisely fitting individual parts must be assembled. The parts can be painted according to your own ideas.
- Tools, glue and paint are not included in the scope of delivery of the plastic kit. These must be purchased as an option.
